Last summer, my friend Christine and I discovered the perfect place to snack after a hardcore cheerleading workout session. I know, I know – you’re not supposed to stuff yourself right after working out…but come on, give us a break. We actually lost some weight over the summer despite this crazy eating habit!

Tom N Toms Coffee serves the best food that goes along with coffee, especially famous for its pretzels and honey butter bread.

Since our school bus drops us off right in front of Tom N Toms, I still occasionally go for a quick snack with friends.

Tom N Toms Coffee is one of the rare cafes in Korea that add pearls to your drink. I usually get a warm latte, but a bubble mango smoothie is definitely a drink you can’t turn down in the summer.

There are around ten different types of pretzels, as well as six different types of sauce. I personally prefer the sweet potato pretzel with mozzarella cheese , or deli pretzel with mustard and cheddar cheese.

Last but not least, the honey butter bread is a must – a warm and crunchy, straight-from-the-oven toast topped with a mountain of whipped cream and cinnamon. I remember devouring this with Christine in a matter of seconds. Over the summer, Christine and I finished this entire plate by ourselves! Even though it sounds crazily fattening, we didn’t gain a single kilogram; just make sure you constantly work out! A definite delight for your sweet tooth indeed.

“once again, can’t believe im in school right now.”

This facebook status got 14 immediate likes after it was posted. That’s actually a record ..next to the time I got 37 likes in 3 minutes after posting a status about snow day (which we never got to have). Not a lot of people looked too excited to be back; in fact, a lot of us looked pretty tired..and I was probably one of them – classic Monday morning. Seriously, though, I can’t believe a week just flew away like that. Welcome back to school: Say hello to waking up at six o’clock in the morning, reviewing for tests on the bus, preparing for the upcoming cheerleading competition, meaning extended practice hours to six o’clock in the afternoon.

Once again, I’m at Tom N Toms Coffee sipping on a hazelnut latte as I organize my to-do list, dig threw my top news on facebook, and write this blog post – yes, simultaneously. I just found out I don’t have any homework for tonight, which is a pleasant surprise, but also an indication that I should theoretically finish up all my work for Wednesday and Thursday so I can focus on studying for the tests I have this week. Hope my plan actually works this time, unlike the last time I didn’t have homework and fell asleep at seven o’clock.

Here’s today’s to-do list:

1. Yearbook: discuss superlatives with Sarah; write English class feature

Not too bad, eh? Now take a look at the number of things I have this week:

1. Tuesday: Yearbook superlatives photo shoot + 6 o’clock practice
2. Wednesday: Math chapter set due; AP World unit 3 exam; Yearbook winter sports writing due + 6 o’clock practice
3. Thursday: Chinese draft due + 6 o’clock practice
4. Friday: Chinese project due; Math test + off to Daegu for competition (4 hour bus ride)
5. Saturday: Cheerleading competition at Daegu

Which means today I’ll have to finish:

1. Math chapter set
2. Yearbook winter sports writing
3. Chinese project draft

Friday’s inching closer – just put up with a few more days
is what I always tell myself every Monday.

Oh wait. I have a competition this Friday and Saturday.
